Lee Ann Bucher

Lee Ann Bucher, 52, of Linden, passed away Friday, October 10, 2014 at Winchester Medical Center surrounded by family and friends.

Lee Ann was born in 1962 in Washington, D.C. to Gloria and Donovan Hower and was raised in Northern Virginia. Lee was the owner of Animal Affinity Pet Sitting and an active community member. Her love and commitment for the safety and welfare of animals was a key focus in her life. Lee was also affectionately known as the “ Den Mother” of the High Knob Housewives.

Lee was married 27 years to her husband and survivor, Tim Bucher of Linden. She is also survived by her son, Patrick, of Front Royal , as well as her two furbabies, Mille and Ginger.

Lee’s memorial service is to be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions are made in Lee’s honor to her favorite charities: Middleburg Humane Foundation, P. O. Box 1238, Middleburg, VA 20118 or The Humane Society of Warren County, VA, 1245 Progress Dr., Front Royal, VA 22630.

So very sorry to hear of Lee's passing.

Hugs and prayers in this moment for the family but also happiness that I got to spend time with this remarkable lady.

Because she did it for me when I came to High Knob, I know that Lee had a knack for making people feel included, wanted, and...well...loved. She was the true essence of a wonderful friend and neighbor. Tim and Patrick, my deepest condolences and prayers that you always keep loving memories of a truly remarkable woman.

We will always remember your wonderful smile, great laugh, and positive attitude. You brought laughter to our Bunco games and happiness to Einstein and Indiana when you cared for them. Thank you for letting us know you here on earth as you rest and rejoice in heaven with our Lord. Sweet lady you are missed!

Lee cared for our animals for many years. It was clear when we returned home on days when she had visited them that they had not only had their needs taken care of, they had been loved. Patrick & Tim, We are so sorry for the loss of Lee. She was such a remarkable person and we will forever be grateful for the kindness she imparted to our family, our animals and others.

Tim, We just heard and are saddened. You and Patrick are in our prayers. I never met Lee but I do remember (as we worked shoulder to shoulder) you always praising her for her talents and attitude. I can imagine what a wonderful wife and mother she was to you and Patrick. Sincerely and Respectfully....

So sorry to hear of the passing of Lee. She was such a wonderful person.

I can't imagine this world without Lee. She has had such a presence in the community and in our lives for as long as I can remember. She was our social butterfly for years, starting the Wine Club on High Knob, and later, getting people together to play Bunco. Lee was strong, funny, smart, resourceful, always a great friend. I will miss her tremendously.

What can one say about Lee other than the fact she was a friend to all and an Angel on Earth as I am sure she is in Heaven. We will miss her wonderful humor and the way she could always brighten up the room wherever she was! We all love you Lee and will never forget you!

Lee was one of the best people I've ever had the honor of knowing. My life was Blessed by her friendship, and I'm a better person having known her. She's touched so many lives. She will always hold a special place in my heart, and will remain the voice in my head. Lee and Tim's love for one another is an inspiration. I am deeply, deeply sorry, and my condolences go out to the Bucher family. I will never forget Lee's sparkle, and it will never dull.

Never have I had a friend to make such an impact on my life as I did Lee. Lee was my shining light, and will always be in my heart. I will so miss all of the laughter. Much love to Tim and Patrick, and all of Lee's friends.
