Kristy, I cannot drive anywhere near Virginia without my heart breaking. You shared so much love, joy and laughter with the world. Your caring for others was your hallmark, along with that memory of yours that was an encyclopedia of humorous events! What will we do without you to remind us of long forgotten stories? Please know that as your friend I saw you! I saw how much of yourself you gave to others, over and over again!!! Now I grieve not only for your passing but also for the life and love you yearned to have in return for all you gave, but never thought you had...If only you understood how much you were loved!! Maybe now you do. Your spirit live on in your memory in my heart and others. Keep watching over Barbie. And one day, when I see you again...I fully expect to pee my pants laughing at your George impersonations!! XOXO Until then...forever in our hears...

Kristy was such an amazing person… the world is simply not as beautiful a place without her. She was so much more than just a Guard Coach- she was a second mom to so many. Kristy provided so many with comfort, love, and above all acceptance. I was lucky to be able to call her my friend… and I will cherish the memories I have of her. My daughter trained under Kristy… and it’s because of Kristy my girl found her passion for Guard, We will forever miss Kristy.

Oh sweet Captain, I was beyond shook to hear of your passing. So many wonderful high school band memories and the opportunity to share first year tryouts with you for the Cadets. You were always a ray of sunshine and your love of teaching others your talent of color guard was so amazing. I will miss your big smile and reminiscing about the good ole days. I will look for that rainbow in the sky as it will now always represent that beautiful rainbow flag we marched with as Colonels. Prayers of strength and comfort to your entire family. Rest my friend! Love you! ?️‍?

Christy was such a beautiful person inside and out. She always thought of the girls first at Millbrook. It was an honor and privilege to get to work with hercas a guard mom! RIP and fly that flag high!!!
