Kirsten McMurtry, 56, of Winchester, Virginia, passed away on October 17, 2023, after a two year battle with cancer. She was born on April 9, 1967 in Syracuse, NY to Everett and Suzanne McMurtry (deceased).

Kirsten attended Alfred University in upstate New York. She had many jobs in her life ranging from driving cross country trucks to running the family’s ComputerLand service department to owning her own Florist in Abbeville, South Carolina. Kirsten was a loving wife, and she enjoyed travel, adventures, and doting over her nieces. She loved spending time with family and friends including beating them in most games they played together.

Kirsten was married to the love of her life, Marcie Freed, for 10 years. They shared a deep love and respect for each other, and they enjoyed many adventures together. She is also survived by her father, Everett McMurtry, two brothers, Eric and Matthew McMurtry, and her two sisters-in-laws, Holly and Julie McMurtry. She had three nieces that meant the world to her, Lindsay (15), Suzanne (9), and Cosette (7).
