Kevin B. O’Connor

Kevin Brendan O’Connor, 65, of Winchester, Virginia, died Saturday, February 9, 2013, in his home.

Mr. O’Connor was born in 1948, in Dublin, Ireland, the son of the late Daniel M. and Julia O’Connor. He was a graduate of State University of New York, receiving a Bachelor’s Degree and Prince George’s Community College, School of Nursing. He was a Registered Nurse. Mr. O’Connor was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church as well as the Knights of Columbus.

He married Kathleen Sue Jennings on September 18, 1974, in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.

Surviving with his wife is his daughter, Carrie O’Connor; four sons, Sean O’Connor, Eric O’Connor and his wife, Tiann, Christopher O’Connor and his wife, Kelley, Brendan O’Connor and his wife, Brandy, all of Winchester, nine grandchildren, Brian, Autumn, Cecilia, Carmody, Harrigan, Julia, Daniel Keenan and Hannah; sister, Patricia McKain of Rockville, Maryland; nieces and nephews, Julia and Owen McKain and his extended family in Ireland.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, prior to the service, from 10:00-10:30 AM, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother in law, Michael McKain.

A funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 AM on Thursday at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church with Father Stanley J. Krempa officiating. Interment will be at 1:30 PM on Thursday, in Mount Olivet Cemetery Washington D.C.
