Kerry Ann Blake, 53 of Winchester, VA, passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at INOVA Fair Oaks Hospital.

Kerry Ann was born in 1970 in Brunswick, ME, the daughter of the late George and Camilla Spinney. She worked as an LPN for many years, working at different care centers in the Winchester area.

She is survived by her husband, Gary Alan Blake, whom she married on September 24, 2001; daughters, Stephanie Noel Blake of Winchester, VA, Erin Nicole Blake of Winchester, VA; sons, Buddy Eckert of Winchester, VA, Ryan Blake (Amber) of Front Royal, VA; six grandchildren; sisters, Jodi Beard (Allen) of Richmond, VA, Lynne Spinney of Harrisonburg, VA, Kim Beach (Wesley) of Winchester, VA and her brother, Alan Spinney (Susanne) of Columbus, OH.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2024 at 2:00pm at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel. A memorial service will follow at 3:00pm at the funeral home.

I have never met anyone like Kerry Blake. She was her authentic self 1000% of the time. She wore neither armor nor mask and told you exactly what she was thinking and feeling. And she felt to the depths of her soul. She loved her children and her grandchildren with every cell and lived her life trying to make theirs better. I encouraged her to focus on her own wellbeing, but that lasted less than a hot minute! She lived for those she loved. I am sending prayers for all those who travel this life without her because I have no doubt there is a hole as big as a canyon in their lives. But I also know she will always be close to them in spirit form. Nothing is going to keep this beautiful lady from her loved ones . . . not even physical death. Never imagined writing a comment on here.. through this tough time my siblings and I have still found ways to smile through this, thanks to her..funny things she has written over the years, in notebooks or social media. Mom, you are so loved and missed. ♡

Mama Kerry was the nicest person I’ve ever known. I hadn’t seen her in a few years but we always chatted back and forth. She always said I would be part of the family no matter what 💜. My love and condolences go out to the Blake family.
