Kenneth Richard Rinker
Kenneth Richard Rinker, 76, of Frederick County, passed away Sunday, June 27, 2010, at the Winchester Medical Center.
Mr. Rinker was born in 1934 in Strasburg, Virginia, the son of the late Harry Bruce and Luella Rinker, Sr. He retired with over 35 years of service as a Maintenance Machinist with Crown, Cork & Seal. Mr. Rinker was a member of Grace Bible Church, and later became a member of Burnt Presbyterian Church. He was a veteran, having served in the United States Army, where he was an Artillery Surveyor.
He married Alice G. Rinker on February 6, 1988, in Winchester, Virginia. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Marie Harman Rinker on September 21, 1987.
Surviving with his wife of twenty-two years; is a daughter, Tonya Rinker Davey of Winchester; two step-children, Mitsy Russell of Winchester and Terry Holtzclaw and his wife, Peggy “ Susie” of Inwood, West Virginia; a grandson, Graham R. Davey; five step grandchildren, Billy Russell, Brandon Russell, Kyle Russell, Roxanne Mowery, and Brandy Holtzclaw; fourteen great grandchildren; two brothers, Harry B. Rinker, Jr. and Jacob E. Rinker; and two sisters, Jean Taylor and Elsie Rinker.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel with Pastor Patrick Lanaghan officiating. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel.
