Kenneth K. Kiefer

Kenneth “Kenny” Keith Kiefer, 61, of Frederick County, Virginia, died Friday, December 17, 2010, in his home.

Mr. Kiefer was born in 1949, in Massillon, Ohio, the son of the late Jimmy and Donna Kiefer. He was an Electronic Engineer with the United States Navy, and was an Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Mr. Kiefer was a member of the Eagles in Ohio. He was a Veteran having served in the United States Navy achieving the rank of E-6.

He married Marsha Eberhart on December 31, 1990, in Canton, Ohio.

Surviving with his wife are two daughters, Brittainy Hilsman of Anchorage, Alaska, Donna Wages of Gladstone, Missouri; three sons, James Kiefer of Cocoa Beach, Florida, Travis Kiefer and Ron Backhaus both of Dayton, Ohio; step-sons, Patrick Brooks and David Brooks both of Tuslaw, Ohio; seven grandchildren; two sisters; one brother; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Monday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel. Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia, at a later date.

The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 4:00 – 6:00 PM at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
