Kathryn “ Kathy” Marie Carroll, age 76, of Stephens City, Virginia passed away on Sunday, March 18, 2018, in Blue Ridge Hospice Inpatient Care, Winchester.
Kathryn was born in 1941 in Winchester, Virginia, the daughter of the late James and Mary K. Patterson. She retired after 20 years of service from BB&T Bank, formerly F & M Bank, Stephens City branch, where she worked as a teller. Kathryn was of the Methodist faith, enjoyed reading, swimming, and spending time with her beloved family.
Kathryn married Gerald Carroll on July 2, 1961 in Stephens City United Methodist Church.
In addition to her husband of 56 years, Kathryn is survived by two daughters, Pamela “Pam” MacGregor and Susan Largent, both of Stephens City, Virginia; a son, Christopher “Chris” Carroll of Stephens City, Virginia; three grandchildren, Ryan Mann of Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, Jarrett Mann and Jordan Largent, both of Stephens City, Virginia; two brothers, Ellis Patterson of Strasburg, Virginia and Ray Patterson of Middletown, Virginia.
In addition to her parents, Kathryn is preceded in death by a grandson, James Mann and a brother, Charles “Charlie” Patterson.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, March 22nd, from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at Omps, South Chapel with the funeral service to be held immediately following the gathering at 7:00 pm with Reverend Doug Lowell officiating. Entombment will be private.
