Kathryn Lucille Hulver Strosnider, 87, of Frederick County, Virginia, died Friday, March 4, 2016, at Spring Arbor Assisted Living Facility, Winchester, Virginia.
Mrs. Strosnider was born in 1929, in Mountain Falls, Virginia, the daughter of the late Vallie Virginia and Maine Dewey Hulver. She was a graduate of Sidney Gore High School, Gore, Virginia. Kathryn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many. She was a dedicated homemaker for many years but also worked outside the home occasionally throughout Winchester. Kathryn can be remembered for her love of faith, family, gardening, cooking and being an avid Nationals Baseball fan. She will be greatly missed.
She Married Guy E. Strosnider on July 22, 1951, in Williamsport, Maryland. He preceded her in death in 1995.
Surviving is her daughter, Connie S. Myers and her husband Larry of Ridgely, West Virginia; son, Guy J. Strosnider of Mountain Falls, Virginia; grandchildren, Trevor Justin Strosnider and his wife Stacey of Mountain Falls, Virginia, Amber Lynn Hill and her husband Daniel of Lebanon Church, Virginia, Whitney Lauren Myers of Huntington, West Virginia, Kara Danielle Myers of Morgantown, West Virginia; great grandchildren, Jada Jean Strosnider, Trevor Justin “Deuce” Strosnider, II, Beau Christopher Hill, Nathaniel Scott Hill and Victoria Ann Hill as well as her longtime companion, James “Buck” Wesley Fewell.
Kathryn’s family wishes to offer their most sincere appreciation and gratitude to all the staff at Spring Arbor who cared and comforted their mother in her final days.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 12, 2016, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel, with Pastor Haley M. dos Santos. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park, Frederick County, Virginia.
