Kathleen R. Minter

Kathleen W. Ritter Minter, 62, of Middletown, Virginia, died Sunday, December 4, 2011, in Winchester Medical Center.

Ms. Minter was born in 1949, in Winchester, Virginia, the daughter of the late Venner W. and Elsie Geneva Ritter. She was a homemaker and a graduate of James Wood High School, Class of 1968.

Surviving are her son, Kenneth Wayne Minter, Jr., and wife, Tina and their children, Derek Thomas Minter and Hannah Elizabeth Minter; and son Richard W. Minter all of Winchester, Virginia; five sisters, Charlotte A. Ellis and husband, Ed, of Middletown, Virginia, Judith Lynn Shugars and husband, Darrell, of Mountain Falls, Virginia, Patsy Lockley of Winchester, Nancy Strosnider and husband, Ed, of Stephens City, Jesse Good and husband, Booty, of Mountain Falls; four brothers, Billy Ritter and wife, Retha, Freddie Linaburg and wife, Evelyn, all of Mountain Falls, Theodore Derflinger and wife, Virginia, of Maryland, Junior Linaburg and wife, Phyllis, of West Virginia.

One brother, Johnny Linaburg and two sisters, Edith Pluck and Helen Wilkins, preceded her in death.

A funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 PM on Friday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, with Mr. David A. Owings officiating. Interment will be private.

The family will receive friends on Friday, prior to the service, from 6:00 – 7:00 PM, at the Funeral Home.
