Kathi Judd, 77, of Winchester, VA went home to be with the Lord, family and friends in Heaven on Friday, February 5th, 2021.

Born Kathleen Frances Garner on July 12th, 1943, her kind and gentle nature will always be remembered by all of those who had the honor of knowing her.

Kathi and her loving husband, Arthur “Buz” Judd, have been together for over 50 years. Together they raised three loving children, Jason Judd, Jeffrey Judd and Jennifer (Judd) Batteau. Kathi immensely loved her four grandchildren, Emily Judd, Ethan Judd, Emma Kiesling and Charlotte Kiesling. Kathi is also survived by her sisters Mary (Garner) Crummitt and Julia Garner. As well as many extended family and friends, which she loved and cherished.

Kathi was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Claire Garner, sisters Emma (Garner) Storey, Roberta Garner, and brother Alfred Garner Jr.

All services will be private. Arrangements are being handled by Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.

I just found out today about Kathy. We both went to Sacred Heart and sat together at Saturday night mass for years. I hadn't seen her the past year because of Covid. I was so sorry to hear she had passed. I will miss her!!! She was such a beautiful soul.

Kathi and I were band moms together at James Wood. She was such a dear person. I always enjoyed being around her. I moved away from Winchester 4 years ago snd just found out she passed. I am so sorry for the family’s loss. She was an incredibly lady.

Kathi’s memory will live forever in my heart. Her friendship was a gift that spanned 40 years. She touched the lives of our students in three Frederick County Elementary Schools. Her modesty kept me from nominating her for volunteer of the year, an honor she deserved for over twenty years. The children looked forward to working with her on her weekly visits. She had a way of making each individual feel secure and special. She was a true and loyal friend. When my husband was in the hospital, she brought me a healthy lunch every day. During our visits on birthdays and holidays, she would always bring her photo albums of her beloved grandchildren. I’m thankful, grateful and blessed to have had her as a friend and will smile whenever I think of her. My deepest sympathy to Buz, her children, grandchildren and beloved sisters.
