Katherine Isabella Warfield, 103, of Stephens City, Virginia, died Sunday, August 14, 2016, at her daughter’s residence, surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Warfield was born in Owings, West Virginia, in 1913, the daughter of the late Joseph L. and Emma K. Robinson. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Winchester, Virginia. She loved traveling and was able to fulfill her dream of traveling the world. She also enjoyed square dancing and ballroom dancing, bowling and even did senior Olympics one year for bowling, she loved to sew and crafting and was able to make just about anything. But most of all, she loved the company of her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Joshua D. Warfield, IV, preceded her in death in 1977.
Mrs. Warfield is survived by her daughter, Katherine Funkhouser (Danny); grandchildren, Donald Warfield (Jennifer), Tammy Woelfer, Cheryl Rookstool, and Neil Rookstool; great-grandchildren, Danny Funkhouser (Julie), II, Karen Funkhouser, Tyler and Madison Warfield, and Kyle and Cameron Warfield; great great-grandchildren, Marley Funkhouser, Kaleigh Funkhouser, Rylee Funkhouser, and Travis Warfield.
Mrs. Warfield was preceded in death by her son, Joshua Warfield, V; daughter, Lucinda Warfield; grandson, Joshua Warfield, VI; and by her loving brothers and sisters.
A committal service will be conducted on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at 11:30 am at Shenandoah Memorial Park with Pastor Brad Hill, of Grace Downtown Church, officiating.
