Katherine A. Little

 

 

Katherine Dashiel Adkerson Little, age 100, formerly of Winchester VA, died Tuesday, January 21, 2014, at home in Myrtle Beach,  South Carolina.  Mrs. Little was born in 1913, in Hare, Texas, a daughter of the late Clinton P. Adkerson and Lavinia Johns.  She was a teacher and a homemaker.

 

Katherine married Charles Pemberton Little, Jr. in 1934.  He preceded her in death February 19, 1992.

 

Survivors include a daughter, Margaret Little and a son, John Stephen Little, Sr., both of Myrtle Beach; four grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Charles P. “Chuck” Little, III and two brothers.

 

A memorial service will be 2:00 PM Monday at 1st Presbyterian Church, Winchester Virginia with Rev. Dr. Rich Reifsnyder officiating.  Private Interment will be in Mt. Hebron Cemetery.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to 1st Presbyterian Church, Building Fund, 116 So. Loudoun St.,  Winchester, VA, 22601 or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital,  262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tennessee, 38105.
