Katalina Roslyn Contreras, 2 months, of Winchester, Virginia, went to be with her heavenly Father, Thursday, February 4, 2010, in University of Virginia Hospital, Charlottesville, Virginia.
Katalina was born on November 16, 2009, in Charlottesville, Virginia, the infant daughter of Bryan Christopher and Karen Beth Contreras. Although Katalina was tiny, her spirit was strong. Her days were spent bringing joy to all who cared for her. She filled her family’s lives with an overwhelmingly powerful love. Her family looks forward to being reunited with their Rozzy-bear in the next life.
Surviving with her parents of Winchester, Virginia, are her sister, Marisol “Isa” Contreras; brother, Gabriel Contreras; maternal grandparents, Patricia and Dennis Hartsog of Beckley, West Virginia; paternal grandmother, Loretta Storer of Winchester, Virginia; great grandmother Beatrice Kohl of Winchester, Virginia; aunts, Paige Stratton and Katie Storer; uncles, Michael Contreras, Justin Storer, Jason Storer and Joshua Storer.
Her paternal grandfathers, Gama Contreras and Douglas Storer, and uncle, Jeffrey Stratton, preceded her in death.
A celebration of Katalina’s life will be held on Saturday at 6:00 PM at Grace Community Church, 2333 Roosevelt Blvd., Winchester, Virginia with Pastor Mike Woods officiating.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 5:00 – 6:00 PM at the church.
A special celebration will be held for her “extended family” at the University of Virginia Medical Center on Sunday at 8:00 AM.
