Karen Lynne Martin (Bratsberg), 74, of Stephens City, VA, passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at her home.

Mrs. Martin was born in 1951, in Martinsville, VA, the daughter of the late Frances R. and John A. Bratsberg. She was a graduate of Escambia High School in Pensacola, FL. Mrs. Martin was a member of Winchester Baptist Church. The most important thing to her was her faith in Christ. She loved her family, friends, and church family and always encouraged others around her. Mrs. Martin enjoyed talking to her loved ones on the phone, online shopping, music, playing the piano, puzzles, and painting.

She married Steve W. Martin on April 15, 1989, in Hartwood, VA.

Surviving with her husband are daughters, Keri L. Marolf (Craig), Meredith “Kristi” Dearing (Heath), sons, John C. Wilson (Brigit) and Joshua Martin (Michelle), eleven grandchildren, Samuel, Kaylee, Hunter, Grayson, Camden, Cambria, Clara, Christopher, Callie, Caleb, Cora and brother, Greg L. Bratsberg (Eric).

The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 5, 2025, from 10:00am-11:00am at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel.

A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at 11:00 am at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel, with Pastor Tim White officiating. A Reception will follow the service at Omps Funeral Home Reception Center, South Chapel.

Entombment will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at Shenandoah Memorial Park Mausoleum.
