June Elizabeth Jeffrey (Myers), age 84, of Winchester, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 6, 2026, at Winchester Health & Rehab.
Born on January 7, 1942, in Pennsylvania, she was the beloved daughter of the late Elmer Joseph Myers and Margaret Myers (Burns). June lived a vibrant and rich life, marked by her endless dedication to her family, her esteemed real estate career, her devoted friendships, and her personal passions.
Over a 30-year career in real estate, June rose to become an immensely respected Real Estate Broker with ERA OakCrest Realty before later serving as an Associate Broker at Coldwell Banker Premier, where she was a mentor and advisor not only to fellow agents, but to leadership as well. She was regarded by many in the industry as an icon — someone who didn’t just work in real estate but elevated it through the way she carried herself and treated everyone around her. Though she technically retired, her passion for the industry kept her involved as a trusted consultant and educator to countless agents, with a rare gift for turning her wisdom into what those who knew her lovingly called “June-isms” — bits of advice many still carry with them today.
June’s sharp intellect and quiet determination never waned; in her 70s, she returned to school to pursue her degree at Mary Baldwin University, proudly earning her Bachelor of Arts in History. Known for her eloquence, sharp wit, and unpredictable, delightful sense of humor, she was frequently invited to speak at various public events and had a knack for keeping a room on its toes. She was also a naturally gifted storyteller and found joy and solace for decades in writing short stories and poetry — one more outlet for the depth and warmth she brought to everything she touched.
June was a woman of the Episcopalian faith who embraced life with open arms. She had a deep love for traveling the world with her husband, Jim, and hosting raucous dinner parties for friends where everyone always felt comfortable and welcome — evenings that inevitably ended in June’s hilariously predictable “Irish goodbye.” She had a gift for making people laugh until it hurt, brightening any room she entered, and offering genuine friendship to anyone she met.
Her warmth extended well beyond her own family; close friends of her daughter Jennifer remember June as a second mother of sorts, opening her home for endless afternoons of play and wild slumber parties, Girl Scout meetings, and station-wagon trips to Six Flags, leaving them with a lifetime of fond memories of their own. Above all else, she cherished her family and her beloved dogs, Scooter, Scout, and Miss Raleigh.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, James “Jim” Brian Jordan; her devoted daughter, Jennifer O’Brien, and her husband, Casey; her cherished grandson, Jack O’Brien; her stepdaughter, Andrea Jordan, and her wife, Lisa Fiorilli; and her stepson, Jamie Jordan; her brother, Robert Myers; and other family members she loved. June was preceded in death by her parents and her two sisters, Rhoda Rhea and Barbara Myers.
A Celebration of Life will be held in early fall.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in June’s honor to the SPCA, 111 Featherbed Lane, Winchester, VA 22601, in celebration of her lifelong love for animals.
