Judith “Judy” W. Hawse

Judith Anne “Judy” Whitehouse Hawse, 55, of Winchester, Virginia, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 26, 2012, in her home.

Mrs. Hawse was born in 1956, in Arlington County, Virginia, the daughter of Annah Lee Whitehouse of Millwood, Virginia and the late John Joseph Whitehouse. She was a former nurse with Amherst Family Practice. She attended Braddock Street United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Hawse is the wife of John W. Hawse of Winchester, Virginia.

Judy leaves behind, her loving mother and husband, a daughter, Sarah K. Branch and husband, Ron, of New Orleans, Louisiana; four sons, Joe Hawse of Las Vegas, Nevada, Louis Hawse of Winchester, Adolfo Hawse of Richmond, Willy Hawse of Winchester; three grandchildren; and her brother, Michael Whitehouse and wife, Nancy, of Clear Brook, Virginia.

A Memorial Service will be 11:00 am Saturday in the Chapel of Braddock Street United Methodist Church with Rev. Anthony Layman officiating

The family will receive friends in the Chapel one hour prior to services

When we were little I remember having a sleep over with Judy at their house in Arlington, she was a little older than me so of of course I thought she was amazing. Turns out I was right. My childhood was "magical" in large measure, because of my close friendship with Judy. We were in the same ballet class from age 5 to age 13, were classmates from K-12, had our First Communion together, competed in gymnastics on the same team, sleep overs where we shared music, secrets, hopes, dreams and lots of love and laughter. Words do no justice to express the sorrow I feel but...I will close by saying, "I loved her once, I loved her twice, and I'll love her for the rest of my life." Rest in peace sweet lady.
