Joyce H. Faw, 72, of Middletown, Virginia passed away Friday, August 3, 2018, at home surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Faw was born in 1946 in Bluefield, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Betty Ward. She was a graduate of Flint Central High School, Flint, Michigan. She was an excellent seamstress and owner/operator of Our Country Place, retiring in 2008. Mrs. Faw enjoyed quilting, sewing, and listening to music, she was an avid fan of Elvis. She attended The Life Church in Stephens City, Virginia.
She married Herschel B. Faw on November 27, 1986 in Portsmouth, Virginia.
Surviving with her husband is a daughter, Michelle J. Zemore (Michael); stepdaughter, Jennifer N. Faw; grandchildren, Sarah E. Kraholik (Todd); Andrew M. Zemore and Zachary M. Zemore; great grandchild, Benjamin Kraholik; brothers, Charles “Buzz” Mullens (Flora) and Greg Mullens (Helen); and many loving nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Along with her mother she was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Rose; and brothers, Larry, Melvin, and Marvin Mullens.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 1 pm to 2 pm on Sunday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel with a celebration of life service at 2 pm with Pastor Shawn Baird officiating. Interment will be private.
