Joyce Kay Boles Roberts
Mrs. Joyce Kay Boles Roberts, 59, of Stephenson, Virginia, died Wednesday, March 2, 2011, in Winchester Medical Center.
Mrs. Roberts was born in 1951, in Arlington, Virginia, the daughter of the late Odell and Mary Boles, Sr. She was formerly a clerk for FEMA in Disaster Management and former bookkeeper for L. J. Wright Oil Company. Mrs. Roberts was a member of Burnt Factory United Methodist Church and a choir member.
She married John Keith Roberts on September 19, 1970, in Fairfax, Virginia.
Surviving with her husband is her son, John Roberts and his wife, Natasha of Winchester, Virginia; daughter, Karen Roberts Stogsdill and her husband, Drew, of Stephens City, Virginia; son, Kenneth Roberts and girlfriend, Sarah Sprague of Winchester, Virginia; five grandchildren, Chloe and Kelsie Stogsdill and Kayla, Ashley and Ayden Roberts; four sisters, Sissy Sparks of King, North Carolina, Christine Evans of Stafford, Virginia, Shirley Dicus of Manassas, Virginia, Faye Rinker of Falls Church, Virginia; three brothers, Odell Boles, Jr., Timothy Boles both of Ormond Beach, Florida and Jessie Boles of Goose Creek, South Carolina.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Monday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel with Pastor Steve Melester and Reverend Kathleen Monge officiating. Interment will be in Mount Hebron Cemetery, Winchester, Virginia.
The family will receive friends on Sunday evening, from 6:00-8:00 PM, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
