Joyce Ann Ritter, 71, of Stephens City, VA, passed away surrounded by her family on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at Winchester Medical Center.

Joyce was born in 1952 in Winchester, VA, the daughter of the late Virgil and Virginia Armel. She loved to mow the yard, lay outside in the sun, tend her plants and flowers and collect antiques, and snowmen. Joyce was known for her fun loving and silly ways with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing ball with her pet cow, Lulu. But above all else, Joyce loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Frank James Ritter, Sr. whom she married on January 22, 1982; daughter, Amber Dawn Hibbitts, stepchildren, Frank James Ritter, Jr. (Brandy), Joleen Ritter Haymaker (the late Jeff), Katey Joy Ritter and Stephanie Roberts (Brenton); grandchildren, Travis Ritter (Ashley), Nicholas Ritter, Dallis Bishop, Will Ubben, Michaela Bishop, Sarah Moesta (Jonathan), Frank Ritter III, Keaton Ritter, Robert Zolmierski, Morgan Haymaker, Tara Zolmierski, Kyler Cowles, Jesse Haymaker, Helena Ritter, Ava Hibbitts, Jaxon Hibbitts, Maximus Foster and Lyllyann Foster; great-grandchildren, Willow Moesta, Everleigh Ritter and Rain Higgs; sisters, Betty Levi (the late Mike), Joan Snyder (Buster); brother, Virgil Armel (Charlene) and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

A visitation will be held for Joyce on Monday, August 12, 2024, from 2pm to 4pm with a service to be conducted at 4pm all held at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel. Pastor John Kenney will officiate.
