Joshua “Josh” Daniel Atkins, 36, of Frederick County, Virginia passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2018, at Winchester Medical Center.

Josh was born in 1982 in Winchester, Virginia, the son of Jimmy and Mary Atkins. He was a concrete finisher with Imperial Concrete. Josh was a member of American Motorcyclist Association.
He enjoyed four wheeler racing, hunting, and playing volleyball on Sundays. His true passion was family…..he always looked forward to getting together with family and friends.

Surviving with his parents is loving companion, Kimberly Carter; sons, Seth Daniel Atkins and Ryder Kole Carter; sisters, Theresa L. Mobley (Michael) and Sandra R. Keeney (Jeff); brother, Jimmy “Scott” Atkins (Julie); nieces and nephews, Michael Clark, Tyler Deuterman, Angela Keeney, Tory, Brittany and Ashlie Atkins; great nieces and nephews, Hunter and Lilly Clark, Charles McDonald, III, Naomi and Namine Keeney; and best friends, Eric Foreman, Steve Smith, and Brett Moskal, and many other great and faithful friends.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 11 am to 1 pm on Saturday, July 14th, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel with a memorial service at 1 pm. Interment will be private.
