Joseph Oefime “Joe” Ojo, 26, of Woodbridge, Virginia passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2020.
Joe was born in 1994 in Fairfax County, Virginia, son of Tony and Anna Ojo; and adopted son of Pastor Rick and Mary Diamond. He was of Nigerian and Tanzanian descent. Joe was a graduate of Sherando High School, Class of 2012, where he played varsity football and was an accomplished running back for the Warriors. He was a wealth of knowledge when it involved sports….any sport…he knew the statistics of anyone in any particular sport. But undeniably he was an avid Redskins fan. Joe was employed as an Automobile Associate in Woodbridge, Virginia. He was a kind soul and showed respect towards everyone, including strangers.
Surviving with his parents and adopted parents are siblings, Stella and Joshua Ojo and Jessica, Sarah, and Jacob Neer; adopted siblings, Angel, Ricky, and Shavon Diamond; and many extended family members.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 10:30 am to 11:30 am on Saturday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel. A funeral service will follow the gathering at 11:30 am with Pastor Rick Diamond officiating. Interment will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Stephens City, Virginia.
