Joseph Nicholas Soboleski, 96, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2026, at Warren Memorial Hospital. Born on February 17, 1930 in International Falls, Minnesota,
Joseph was the son of the late Victor Soboleski and Mary (Cieglnicki) Soboleski.

Joseph proudly served his country in the United States Army before beginning a distinguished career as a Professional Civil Engineer with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He traveled the world for work, especially in Europe and the Middle East. He later retired to Front Royal after many years of dedicated public service. He was a faithful member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church in Front Royal.

Joseph is survived by his children, Christopher Joseph Soboleski, Paul Edward Soboleski, and Julie Lynn Soboleski. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Nicholas Paul Soboleski and Elaina Joan Soboleski, along with many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 61 years, Margaret Jane Soboleski; his daughter, Sheila JoAnne Soboleski; eight sisters; and five brothers.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August 10, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church in Front Royal, with Father Michael Duesterhaus officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in Shenandoah Memorial Park.
