Joseph Kelly Ford, 25, of Frederick County, Virginia died Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Winchester Medical Center.
Joey was born in 1991 in Martinsburg, West Virginia, the son of Kelly and Annette Ford. He was a graduate of James Wood High School, Class of 2009 and attended some classes at Lord Fairfax Community College. Joe was a true one of a kind, he can be remembered for his sense of humor, passion for life and for always keeping things interesting. He loved spending time in the great outdoors doing anything from hunting, fishing, camping, off-roading and in general playing in the mud. He was employed in landscaping but had a unique talent for his ability to repair and operate all equipment both large and small. He also had a special place in his heart for not only his family, friends, dogs (Ceasar and Troy) but his greatest accomplishment in life, his daughter Izzabella. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Surviving with his parents is a daughter, Izzabella Rose Ford of Burlington, North Carolina; one brother, Joshua Ryan Ford of Clear Brook, Virginia; maternal grandparents, Ben and Anna Brown of Charleston, West Virginia; and paternal grandparents, Jimmie L. Ford of Oakman, Alabama and Carolyn K. Walpert of Finksburg, Maryland; a very special aunt and uncle, Ward and Patricia Kellam of Clear Brook, Virginia; as well as many other extended family members and close friends.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 5 pm to 7 pm at Omps Reception Center, Amherst Chapel with a Celebration of Life at 7 pm with Celebrants Joseph Dilleree and Timothy Grum officiating. Food, Fellowship, and continuing to celebrate Joey’s life will follow the service.
