John Scully White

John Scully White, 63, of Winchester, Virginia, died Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at his residence.

Mr. White was born in 1948 in Winchester, Virginia the son of the late Charles and Eleanor White. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Winchester, Virginia; he also was a member of the Association of Retarded Citizens. He participated in the Special Olympics and attended the Woods School in Langhorne, Pennsylvania. He was a member of the Shenandoah Valley Community and a resident, residing at the Baker House, his family home.

He is survived by a sister Lucy Marshall White of Nashville, TN, four brothers, Ridge White, Jr., Stephen White, Willis White all of Winchester, VA and Alexander “ Sandy” White of Wardensville, WV.

A memorial will be conducted on Sunday October 16, 2011, at 2:00 PM at NW Works 3085 Shawnee Drive, Winchester, VA, with Chaplin Ken Patrick officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to NW Works 3085 Shawnee Drive, Winchester, VA 22601 or to Blue Ridge Hospice 333 West Cork Street, Winchester, VA 22601.

Arrangements are being handled by Omps Funeral home, Amherst Chapel.
