John Junior Sibert
John Junior Sibert, 69, of Capon Bridge, West Virginia, died Sunday, June 24, 2012, doing what he loved to do, working on a car in his garage.
Mr. Sibert was born in 1942, in Front Royal, Virginia, the son of the late Goldie and John C. Sibert. He was an Auto Mechanic at Omps Garage in Winchester, Virginia. He was the former owner and operator of Southern Frederick Auto Repair. Previously he was employed by Lamar Sloan Ford, GW Motors and Dick Blanken Ford. Mr. Sibert attended Macedonia United Methodist Church, and was a member of the Eagles and Moose Lodge. He was a Master Mechanic and enjoyed restoring and repairing classic cars and was an avid gardener. He was considered a hero to his grandchildren whom he loved dearly and to his wife whom he was eternally devoted.
He married Bonnie Sims Ritenour on February, 16, 1991, in Middletown, Virginia.
Surviving with his wife, are three daughters, Debbie Edwards of Winchester, Tami Thompson and husband, Sam, of White Post, Patricia Jones of Melbourne, Florida; his son, Daniel Eric Sibert and wife, Gee, of Winchester; grandchildren, John, Matthew and Megan Sibert and Elliott Connolly all of Winchester, Lexi and Nicholas Thompson, of White Post, Danielle Wilson, of Palmbay, Florida, Devin Jones of Strasburg; his sister, Mildred Mills of Front Royal, and brother, Robert Sibert of Lothian, Maryland.
Pallbearers will be Sam Thompson, Danny Sibert, Nicholas Thompson, Devin Jones, Steve Slonaker, Steve Stotler.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Thursday, at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel, with Reverend Jason Duley officiating. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park, Frederick County, Virginia.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel.
