Jack C. Johnson
Jack Carl Johnson, 88, of Clear Brook, VA died peacefully on Saturday, June 25, 2011, at his residence.
Mr. Johnson was born in 1923, in Boise, Idaho, the son of the late Percy and Phyllis Johnson. He had worked as an electrical technician for the Central Intelligence Agency until his retirement in 1979. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church and a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army Air Corps.
His wife, Theresa Marie Brill Johnson, whom he married on November 5, 1955 in Washington, D.C. preceded him in death in 1988.
Surviving are five daughters, Martha Snider, and her husband, Mark, of Lewisburg, WV, Jo Johnson of Bunker Hill, WV, Katie Johnson of Santa Fe, NM, Patty Johnson of Clear Brook, VA and Margaret Johnson of Winchester, VA; two sons, Robert Johnson and his wife, Tina of Clifton, VA and Phillip Johnson and his wife, Jana of Hellertown, PA; eleven grandchildren; a sister, Jody Mork and her husband, Jim of Ferndale, WA and a brother, Bill Johnson and his wife, Nancy of Lopez Island, WA. One daughter, Liz Johnson, preceded him in death in 1998.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church with Father Michael Dobbins officiating. Interment will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Connellsville, PA at 5:00 PM on Wednesday with Sister Mary Agnes officiating.
