So sorry to hear of John's passing. He was a cousin of mine and I hadn't seen him since 2005 at my father's funeral. I had lost contact with him a few years ago. Karen Park Spencer had always kept me informed as to where he was and how he was doing. I would get an address and that would work for a awhile until he moved then I would get cards that I sent to him back in the mail. After Karen passed away a few years ago, I lost track of John. I am posting my e-mail in hopes that some of his children or his wife would contact me. Again I am sorry to hear of his passing. My e-mail is mcarol.rdh@gmail.com

Am so sorry to hear of John's death. He and I worked together for years at the Department of Defense. He was an excellent IT person who, he and his staff, helped me measurably in the Finance & Accounting Office. His technical knowledge was without measure, had a wonderful personality and always had a smile on his face. My sincerest condolences to his family. May his Soul, and the Souls of all the faithfully departed rest in peace. Raymond Cook, Ashburn, VA

I am so sorry for your loss! John Long was truly a great man, a gentleman, kind and smart and funny. We shared an office in the late 1980s and from our conversations it was clear he was committed to his faith and his family. He was a terrific mentor and friend, and I am sure he will be missed by everyone who knew him.

I'm so sorry to hear of John's passing. I've known and highly respected him since he hired me in 1975. He was truly an innovator and an exceptional leader. Many of us over the years thought of him as the absolute best supervisor and manager we've seen. I think of him often as we shared both business and personal memories. I haven't seen him since my retirement in 2004, but his memory lives on as a mentor of mine and a friend. My condolences to his family and friends.
