John Aloysius Cummings, 82 of Stephens City, VA, passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at Blue Ridge Hospice Inpatient Care Center.

Jack was born in 1942 in Boston, MA, the son of the late George and Mary Cummings. He served our country in the United States Navy, serving on the USS Robert H. McCard. Jack retired as Vice President of Operations in the telecommunications field.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Cummings (Semanyk), whom he married on November 4, 1983; daughter, Catherine “Kate” Zeng (Jim) of Los Altos, CA; grandchildren, Zoë and Scarlette Zeng of Los Altos, CA and sisters, Marie Cummings of Falmouth, MA, and Claire Norton (Frank) of Hingham, MA.

Along with his parents, Jack is preceded in death by his brother, Robert G. Cummings and his aunt, Sister Rita Cummings/SCH.
