Joey M. Collier, 77 of Winchester, VA, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2023, at Blue Ridge Hospice Inpatient Care Center.

Joey was born in 1945, in Fayetteville, NC, the son of the late Joseph Bronson Collier and Edna Earle (Gannis) Collier. He was a graduate of Maury High School, in Norfolk. Joey retired from the FAA as an Air Traffic Controller at the Leesburg Center. He enjoyed playing pool, doing woodworking, driving his corvette and taking trips to the beach.

He is survived by his wife, Deirdre, whom he married on December 20, 1978; daughters, Christina Marie Clodfelter (Travis) and Jessica Ann Seminaro (Steve); sons, Robert Michael Collier and Jason Thomas Collier (Heather); grandchildren, Shanis, Alexis, Kayli, Greg, Brittany, Ashley, Tyler, Marissa, Addison and Cameron; 3 great-grandchildren and his brother, David Collier.

Joey is preceded in death by his first wife, Geraldine Miller and his sister, Patricia Collier.

A memorial service will be held for Joey on Monday, November 20, 2023 at 4pm with a reception to follow all held at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
