I remember the kindness of the Seale couple, the wisdom and humbleness of Joanne; the enduring strength and wonder of their service for the beautiful children they fostered at New Eve Ministries. I pray for the repose of their dear souls. —Earlier foundress of New Eve, and very appreciative of the whole board of directors.

Dear Seale family, I want to send my condolences to your family. I met Joanne at Sacred Heart Church through the women's club there. As a new resident of Winchester, I did not know anyone and Joanne was friendly and kind to me. It was a joy to work with her on various club projects. She made me feel welcome. May she rest in peace. Sincerely, Marilyn Wavering

Dear Seale Family, your mother meant quite a bit to me as her neighbor of 20 years. She gave kind helpful hints when I was a younger mother with a baby who wouldn’t sleep, and hosted a shower for me before his birth. She taught me that it was okay to not love, but tolerate, the pets in our homes. She had the best flowers on the street and my kids took turns watering them when she vacationed. She always came down the street to pay them fairly. Joanne became my friend over the years. We’d visit on the porch or in our homes. We enjoyed baking (swapping Christmas cookies every year), and hosting our families. We valued our churches, and our faith in Christ’s complete work on the cross, and the unborn. When I came home from night shift, Joanne would be walking up our steep hill after her daily walk. I’d have predicted she’d live to be 100. She took cancer in stride, disappointed and sorry that you, her family, would be heartbroken, but also accepting and grateful for her life, if not hopeful for the best outcome. I saw her fight with grace but also wisely, not accepting every possible trick to gain days but choosing the ones that would allow her independence and quality as long as possible. The love she had for you 9 children and all the grands and greats could only be rivaled by your great love for her. And did you show up? For sure, all summer. And before that, every holiday, always, not just because of cancer. Certainly you will grieve, and I will too, because Joanne will be missed greatly. Sincerely, Janice and Michael Wade

14 You are the light of the world. A city set on a mountain cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do they light a lamp and then put it under a bushel basket; it is set on a lampstand, where it gives light to all in the house. 16 Just so, your light must shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your heavenly Father.” Matthew 5:13-16 Joanne was all that to me, an inspiration and an example to follow. I thank her for being my friend and will continue to pray for her and her loved ones.

I met Joanne while I served as ED at AbbaCare. She and I shared a passion for saving the lives of unborn babies and helping the moms to be able to care for their little ones. She was a very special lady. May our loving Father care for you as you grieve her passing and may her work live on as others step up to fill her shoes.
Peace of mind is a call away. We're here when you need us most.
