JoAnne A. (Adams) Pryor, 82, of Winchester, VA, passed away Thursday, November 6, 2025, at Blue Ridge Hospice Inpatient Care Center surrounded by her loving family.
Ms. Pryor was born in 1943 in Maryland, daughter of the late Henry and Marion Adams. After retirement from General Electric Winchester Lamp Plant she became a Princess House Glassware Consultant, ultimately finding tremendous joy serving as a Client Care Coordinator with Home Instead Senior Care until her death. She especially loved Sunday morning with her MUMC friends as well as Monday nights at the Elks. Mrs. Pryor enjoyed reading and watching NFL games. Above all else, she loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Michael Henry Pryor, Jr., whom she married on June 2, 1967, preceded her in death in 2016.
Surviving are her children, Christina Imes Sherman (Steve) of Strasburg, VA, Greg Imes (Maryann) of Downers Grove, IL, Michelle Pryor Carver (Paul) of Romney, WV, and Michael Pryor, III (Melissa) of Wilmington, NC; grandchildren, Justin, Mandy, Luke, Colby, Paul, Kendra, Kala, Kelly, Sophia, and Berk; thirteen great grandchildren. Other survivors include her sister-in-law, Susan Adams and brother-in-law, Darrel Oster.
Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by sisters, Barbara Jean, Mildred Louise, and Margaret Janelle (Petie) and brother, Joe.
A visitation will be from 11 am to 12 pm on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Macedonia United Methodist Church with a service to follow at 12 pm with Pastor Larry Thompson officiating.
Interment will be in Macedonia United Methodist Church Cemetery.
