JoAnn L. Larrick, 88 of Winchester, VA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Winchester Medical Center.
JoAnn was born in 1937 in Old Madison, PA, the daughter of the late Clyde and Alfretta Logan. She was a graduate of James Wood High School, Class of 1955. JoAnn retired after 17 years as an Administrative Assistant for the former Shearson Lehman Brothers brokerage firm. She was a lifelong member of Kernstown United Methodist Church where she served as a Trustee, taught Bible School, Sunday School and was a member of the Bell Choir. JoAnn was a member of ESA Sorority – Alpha Omega Chapter where she was a past President. ESA is a Philanthropic organization which provides support to local charitable organizations. She was an avid gardener and was a member of the Glen Burnie Garden Club also serving as a past President. She served as a Justice of the Peace and worked as a literacy Volunteer. JoAnn was a lifelong Bridge player and very skilled. She played at the Bridge Club at Orchard Ridge among others throughout her life. JoAnn also loved playing golf and enjoyed playing for many years with the Women’s Golf League at The Winchester Country Club. JoAnn loved to travel and especially enjoyed visiting Ireland. She enjoyed traveling and attending various activities with her family. She adored her Grandchildren and each of them was fortunate to experience a close, loving relationship with her.
She married J. Randolph Larrick in 1991, and he preceded her in death.
JoAnn is survived by her daughters, Leigh Anne Whitacre (Lee) and Elizabeth Burns (Steve); grandchildren, Logan Whitacre, Andrew Burns, Kaye Whitacre, Alex Burns and Christian Whitacre; a newborn Great Granddaughter, MariAnn Virginia Burns. JoAnn is preceded in death by her sister, June Logan and her twin sister, Jean L. Snider.
