Nigel Davis left a message on July 9, 2020:
Loved by all who knew her. Touched by all she came into contact with. Re-veered for her courage and grace. Missed by those who called her family & friend. On this day, my feisty friend and mentor would have turned 68. I am forever grateful to GOD for placing you in the path of life; may I continue to make you smile and do you honor as your words and memories continue to do the same for me.

Joan as I walked into work today and was looking forward to talking to you about the surprise we did for my sister...I realized you weren't there. Joan was not an amazing woman...she was an amazing human. She really was an angel that walked among us. Her health issues always seemed to take a back seat when she was helping someone else. The void she left in our office is huge and one that I am not sure will ever be filled. She had a strong belief and we know she is still walking with us. She will never be forgotten and send Anthony and Cathy prayers as they celebrate her life.

I can't picture Joan without a very big smile on her face. She was bright light. I'm sure her memory will contimue to shine for friends and family for a long time.

I have known for years! She was such a sweet caring friend. She never let her health problems get in her way of always wanting to help anyone she could.
Ann Julian left a message on October 21, 2019:
Our family became acquainted with Joan and her family 40 + years ago through her friendship with my sister-in-law Peggy Julian. We feel so blessed to have known Joan and her wonderful family through the years sharing so many wonderful occasions together, especially our Thanksgiving celebrations. Joan was a one of a kind woman. She was tough, smart, dedicated and a fierce and loyal friend. She was generous to a fault and was always ready and able to lend a helping hand despite whatever difficulties she was going through. My faith has been increased tenfold watching her go through all the pain and heartache that she has experienced. Despite everything, she fought the good fight and the love of the Lord always shone through. My heart is broken, as I will miss her dearly, but my faith knows that now at last she is free of all pain and once again in the arms of her beloved Mom and brother Steve. We love you, Joan! Bob, Ann, Sarah, Daniel and Gloria
Peace of mind is a call away. We're here when you need us most.

I don’t think people posses the words to truly express their condolences to a family experiencing a void created by the passing of a loved one. Because many of us have experienced our own loss, we know the best thing we can do is share a prayer for the family. Although I only knew Joan through work, she never struck me as a person to complain, in fact, she always kept her head up and pressed forward. Perhaps she understood that our fate is not in our hands, that our time on earth is short, but as long as we have faith, our life is everlasting. Gordon Cross
