Joan A. Pangle, 84, died Monday, June 25, 2018 at The Willows, in Winchester, VA. She was born May 18, 1934 in Winchester, VA; the daughter of the late Cassius and Gwendolyn Trenary. She married Jack Lewis and together they had one daughter, Brenda L. Wilson. She later married Ted Pangle and together they had one daughter Sherry P. Yost.
“Jo Ann”, “Joanie”, “Bee-all”, “GG” and Mom as so many knew her was a beautiful, strong and independent woman of faith. Generous and personable, she loved cooking delicious family meals and celebrating the holidays in her impeccably maintained home. She enjoyed gardening and shopping adventures with her daughters. Visits from her greatgrandchildren brought her much happiness. Her fun spirit and love of singing, dancing and music will leave us with memories to cherish.
Joan is survived by her daughters, Brenda L. Wilson of Winchester and Sherry P. Yost of Waleska, GA; her brothers Jeff Trenary and Rick Trenary, both of Stephens City, VA; and one sister Suzanne Brannon of Leesburg, VA. She has 2 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Fenton Trenary and Gary Trenary.
A celebration of life will be held at Omps Funeral Home South Chapel, 1260 Front Royal Pike, Winchester, VA 22602, Friday, June 29th, at 12:30 p.m. visitation and 1pm service. Reception to follow the service at Omps, South Chapel.
