Jimmy Leon Ward, of Winchester, left our loving family Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Winchester Medical Center. Jimmy was born in 1939 in Hickory, North Carolina. He is survived by his wife of fifty – five years, Catherine (Jan) Ward, daughter, Catherine Danette Booker, her husband, James Booker, grandson, Drake Booker, his wife, Amanda Booker, and granddaughter, Danielle Booker. Jimmy served four years in the United States Navy, earned his third degree Master Mason in Fayetteville, North Carolina and was a former member of Moose Lodge 1283. Services will be private; memorial gifts and condolences can be made to Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
