Jimmy C. Langford, Sr.

Jimmy Clinton Langford, Sr., 65, of Clearbrook, Virginia, died Wednesday, November 13, 2013 in the Winchester Medical Center.

Mr. Langford was born in 1948 in Anniston, Alabama, the son of the late Lloyd L. Langford and Johnny Sharlene Hardy, and stepfather, Wade Hardy. He was employed as a truck driver with Triple Crown Trucking of Stephens City, VA until his retirement due to health issues.

Mr. Langford married Sandra Altman Langford on August 26, 1980 in Vineland, New Jersey.

Surviving with his wife are two daughters, Stephanie Loveless of Stephenson, VA and Rachel Langford of Clearbrook, VA; two sons, Jimmy Langford, Jr. and Steven Langford, both of Clearbrook, VA; grandchildren, MacKenzie Weadon, Gabriel Weadon, and Willow Loveless, all of Stephenson, VA, Braydon Kellar of Clearbrook, VA, and one on the way; three sisters, Diane Ostrander, Theresa Priest and Deborah Louise Stevens, all of Roanoke, VA.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kristin Langford, and a brother, Carlos Pruitt.

All services for Mr. Langford will be private.

The family will receive everyone for refreshments at their home at 2083-A Brucetown Rd., Clearbrook, VA at 4:00 PM on Monday, November 18, to enjoy the fond memories of Jimmy C. Langford, Sr.

I remember all the good times, one in particular, My dad was driving down the road one day. We were heading home, just me and him. He closed one eye and told me he could drive with his eyes closed. I was young, so I really thought he had both eyes closed. A car was approaching from the other direction, and I got scared. I started to scream for him to open his eyes, we might crash into the other car. But we didn't, and he started to laugh and laugh. I said, how did you do that? He never told me. It took me while to figure out he was just tricking me. He thought it was the funniest thing in the world. Love you Dad, I will keep you in my heart forever. LOVE RACHEL
