Jerry Kenneth Moore, father, 65, of Gore, Virginia, died Friday, November 6, 2009 at his residence.

Mr. Moore was born in 1943, in Charlotte, NC, the son of the late Frank Moore and Vera Corbin. He was a meat cutter for Giant Foods, retiring at age 55 after 30 years of service. He was of the Presbyterian faith and was a 1962 graduate of Garinger High School. He was an avid NASCAR fan and a passionate Dale Earnhardt fan. He was also an extreme lover of nature.

Mr. Moore married Linda Somers on December 18, 1964 in South Carolina.

He is survived by his wife of Gore and was a beloved father to a daughter, Crystal Richardson and her husband, John, of Clarksville, MD and son, Michael Kenneth “Ken” Moore and his longtime companion, MaryAnn Dirado of Baltimore, MD; as well as a cherished grandfather of two grandchildren, Evan and Emily Richardson; a sister, Jane Thrower of Charlotte, NC; two brothers, Mike Moore and his wife, Janice of Charlotte, NC and Russell Corbin and his wife, Ruth Ann, of Delaware; and a beloved friend, Hunny Bunny.

All services will be private.
