Jerry Junior LaFollette, 78 of Winchester, VA, passed away on Monday, July 21, 2025, peacefully at his home.
Jerry was born in 1946 in Winchester, the son of the late Wilbur and Edith LaFollette. He retired as a heavy equipment operator working for various construction companies. Jerry enjoyed racing, watching and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys and TV westerns, especially those with John Wayne and watching the TV show MASH. He was known for his love of ice cream and Oreo cookies.
He is survived by his wife, Reba Jean whom he married on July 30, 1967; daughter, Tracy LaFollette; son, Wayne LaFollette; grandchildren, Ryan, Bethany, Cohen, Katie, Troy and Ellie; great-grandchildren, Jace, Marcus, Trey, Emmett, Henry B, Ryder, Scout and Jessica and his sister, Mary Messner.
In addition to his parents, Jerry is preceded in death by 2 children who died at birth, Julie Michelle and Jeremy Wade; son, Troy LaFollette, Sr. and also by his many brothers and sisters.
A visitation will be held for Jerry on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at 12pm with a service to be conducted at 1pm all held at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel. Entombment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park Mausoleum. Pastor Karen Adams will be officiating.
The pallbearers will be Ryan LaFollette, Troy LaFollette, Cohen LaFollette, Mike Shepherd, Dave Shepherd and James Judd.
