Jency Ellen (Kern) Kelly, 83, of Stephens City, Virginia, passed away peacefully at her residence on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.
Born on Christmas Day, December 25, 1942, in Coeburn, Virginia, Jency was the daughter of the late Lonnie Kern and Oma (Adkins) Kern. She was also preceded in death by her stepfather, Robert Fifer.
Jency graduated from Coeburn High School with the Class of 1961. On June 9, 1960, she married the love of her life, Tommy Pose Kelly, in Wise, Virginia, beginning a marriage and family that would be the center of her life.
Jency dedicated 25 years of service to the Fairfax County Water Authority, where she worked as a manager. Earlier in her career, she worked in the catalog department at Montgomery Ward in Falls Church, Virginia. She took pride in her work and enjoyed a well-deserved retirement.
A woman of Baptist faith, Jency cherished her family above all else. Her greatest joy was spending time with those she loved, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The memories made during family gatherings and the special moments shared across generations were among her most treasured blessings. She will be remembered for the love she gave, the family she helped build, and the lasting memories she leaves behind.
In addition to her loving husband, Tommy Pose Kelly, Jency is survived by her grandchildren, Taylor Jade Ragalado and her husband, Juan, and Kimberly “Nikki” Holliday and her husband, Craig; her great-grandchildren, Wolfe Alexander Ragalado, Haleigh Grace Holliday, and Nathaniel Bryce Holliday; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
In addition to her parents and stepfather, she was preceded in death by her sons, Tommy Clay Kelly, who passed away in 2013, and Steven Edward Kelly, who passed away in 2026; her sister, Margie Corder; and her brother, Clifford Kern.
The family will receive friends on Friday, November 13, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m., with Roger L. Kelly officiating. Burial will follow at Shenandoah Memorial Park. A reception and luncheon will be held following the committal service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fabry Support & Information Group at www.fabry.org or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Jency’s life was a blessing to those who knew and loved her. Though she will be deeply missed, the love she shared and the memories she created will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
