Jeffrey Heeren Brown, 73, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at his home.
Mr. Brown was born on February 4, 1949 in Stuarts Draft, Virginia. He was the son of the late Janet Elizabeth Murray and John Alton Brown. He attended Montreat Anderson Junior College in North Carolina. Mr. Brown dedicated his life to law enforcement and serving his communities. During his 40 plus years of service, he was a Virginia State Game Warden, Sargent for the Front Royal Police Department, and later retired as the Captain of the Rappahannock County Sheriff’s Office. He was proud to be the first Resource Officer and D.A.R.E. Officer in the Rappahannock County School System. Jeff was honored to be selected as a Northern Virginia D.A.R.E. Officer of the year. He was a member of the Horseless Carriage Club of America and the Antique Automobile Club of America, where he enjoyed taking his family and their beloved 1906 Wayne Automobile to shows. Gardening was is other major passion.
He married Kimball Scott Whitham on December 4, 1976, at Christ Episcopal Church, in Winchester, Virginia.
Surviving with his wife, are his daughter, Catherine Adele Brown Foster (Christopher) of Stephens City, VA; son, Thomas Whitham Brown of Centreville, VA, and his Baby Doll, (granddaughter) Dulaney Adele Foster.
A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at 1:00 pm at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, Winchester, VA.
