Jearldean DeHaven Collins
Jearldean DeHaven Collins, 85, of Frederick County, Virginia, died Sunday, June 30, 2013, in Winchester Medical Center.
Mrs. Collins was born in 1928, in Winchester, Virginia, the daughter of the late Albert and Opal Virginia DeHaven. She was a retired mail clerk with National Fruit in Winchester. Jearldean was a member of the Winchester Church of God.
Her husband, I. Brown Collins, preceded her in death on October 6, 2007.
He first husband, Eugene DeHaven, preceded her in death on June 19, 1955.
Surviving are two sons, Don DeHaven and wife, Jacqueline, Doug DeHaven and wife, Della, all of Winchester; two daughters, Nancy C. Omps and husband, Lewis, of Keezletown, Virginia, Betty C. Nail and husband, Perry, of Winchester; five grandchildren, Scott E. Dehaven, Mark DeHaven and his wife Lisa, Lane DeHaven, Gregory S. Nail and his wife Ginger, Jennifer C. Nail; eight great grandchildren; and her sister, Kathryn Owings of Silver Spring, Maryland. One sister, Frances West, preceded her in death.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, from 6:00-8:00 PM, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 5, 2013, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel with Reverend Darrell Waller and Reverend Kent Woodward officiating. Interment will be in Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Frederick County, Virginia.
