Jeannette T. Grove

        Jeannette Theresa Cyr Grove, 71, of Stephens City, Virginia, went to her final resting place Thursday, July 24, 2014, in Winchester Medical Center.

        Mrs. Grove was born in 1943, in Van Buren, Maine, the daughter of the late Guy Cyr and Cecile Cyr.  She was a graduate of Van Buren High School, following graduation she made it her lifelong passion and career to become a nurse and help others. Jeannette was employed and retired from the Winchester Medical Center with over 46 years of dedicated nursing experience. Mrs. Grove was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Winchester. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. She will be forever remembered for her love of the beach and spending time and caring for those in need and that she loved.

        She married Roy Grove on June 2, 1967, in Homestead, Florida.

        Surviving with her mother and husband are her daughters, Debbie Melnikoff and husband, Steve and Donna Grady and husband, Jay, all of Stephens City; five grandchildren; Brady, Luke, Madison, Noah and Connor two sisters, Janice Steele of Crescent City, California, Joyce Cunningham and husband, Kris, of Wilton, Maine and one brother, Tom Cyr and wife, Ginette Provost, of Newport, Vermont, as well as many close friends.

        Jeannette was preceded in death by one brother George Cyr.

        The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 9:00-10:00 AM, prior to the service at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel.

        A Memorial service will be conducted at 10:00 AM on Thursday, at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel, with Father Brendan W. Bartlett officiating.  Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
