Jeanne F. Stoddard, 87 of Cross Junction Virginia passed away on September 12th, 2024.
Jeanne was born on June 28th, 1936, in Panama City, Florida to John Vecil “Jackie” Falck and Bessie Lolete Clarke and had a sister Bessie Lolete Barlow. Jeanne was graduated from Bay High School of Panama City, Florida in the spring of 1954. After graduation, Jeanne moved to Dayton, OH to help her sister with her kids and met James Robert Collier and were then married. Jeanne and Bob went on to have three children, James “David” Collier, Jennifer Linne Jeffers, and Richard “Scott” Collier. During her marriage, Jeanne started her modeling career with Lazarus Department Store in Columbus, OH and later earned her single engine private pilot’s license in Leesburg, VA. During Jeanne’s life she enjoyed many hobbies including painting, poetry, and kayaking.
Jeanne was predeceased by her parents Jackie and Bessie Lolete, her sister Lolete, first husband Robert Collier, second husband Pierre Parker, and widowed by her husband Charles E Stoddard.
Jeanne is survived by her three children and their spouse’s; David and Gail, Jennifer and William, and Scott and Rosanna, her grandchildren; James, Marion and Joseph Jeffers, Kevin & Eddie Johnston, Lori, Holly, Chrissy, and Lexie and seven other great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
A service will be held at Omps Funeral Homes Amherst Chapel on Friday, September 20, 2024, at 11am with a visitation on Thursday, September 19, 2024, from 6pm to 8pm all held at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Whitacre, VA.
