Jean Logan Snider, 88, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 17, 2025, in Winchester, VA.
She was born to Clyde and Alfretta Logan on May 25th, 1937, in Old Madison, PA. Jean lived a very happy, active life filled with family and friends. Her church family at Kernstown United Methodist Church was very important to her. She enjoyed serving in many capacities there throughout her life. She was an avid gardener and was a member of the Glen Burnie Garden Club for many years, where she served as treasurer.
One of her most fulfilling activities was serving the special-needs community. She served on many state and local boards and organizations over her lifetime. She worked tirelessly to make life better for those who are mentally and physically challenged. Jean worked at F & M Bank for over 25 years and loved her job working with the people of this community.
Her husband, E.T. Snider, Jr. (Skip), preceded Jean in death; a sister, June Logan and her parents, Clyde, and Alfretta Logan.
She is survived by her son, James Logan Snider; a twin sister, JoAnn Logan Larrick; two nieces, Leigh Anne Michael Whitacre (Lee Whitacre), Elizabeth Michael Burns (Steven Burns); four great nephews, Logan Whitacre, Andrew Burns, Alex Burns and Christian Whitacre; a great niece, Kaye Whitacre; a step daughter, Julie Snider Nesselrodt (James Nesselrodt); a step son, E.T. Snider, III (Boo); step grandchildren, Carrie Snider McCorkle, Jamie Nesselrodt and Hillary Nesselrodt; a beloved cousin Jack Pinner (Sheila Pinner) and their daughters, Debbie Benevides, Sally Michaels and Amy McKay.
Jean touched many lives with her warmth, optimism, and cheerfulness. She saw the good in everyone and every situation. She will be lovingly remembered by many.
A private service will be held in her honor at a later date.
