Jean E. Ford
Jean Isabelle Ebert Ford, 86, of Frederick County, Virginia, died Monday, September 27, 2010, in a local nursing facility.
Mrs. Ford was born in 1924, in Winchester, Virginia, the daughter of the late Harry W. and Isabelle Ebert. She was a bookkeeper with H.W. Ebert Buick, King Pontiac and Perry Engineering. Mrs. Ford was a member of Braddock Street United Methodist Church, a graduate of John Handley High School, Class of 1941, and attended Mary Washington College.
Her husband, Ellis C. Ford whom she married in Winchester, Virginia, on June 1, 1943, preceded her in death on January 18, 2004.
Surviving is her daughter, E. Terry Alger of Fort Worth, Texas; sister, Patricia Ebert Boxwell and brother, Harry W. Ebert, Jr., both of Winchester, Virginia.
One sister, Mary Elizabeth Ebert Jones, preceded her in death.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Friday, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, with Reverend Dr. James Hewitt and Reverend Sarah Pugh officiating. Interment will be in Mount Hebron Cemetery, Winchester, Virginia.
The family will receive friends on Friday, prior to the service, from 1:00-2:00 PM, at the funeral home.
