The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel with Reverend Steve Melester officiating. Entombment will be in Mount Hebron Cemetery Mausoleum.

Jean Frances Goforth Gill, 73, of Frederick County, Virginia, died Tuesday, January 29, 2013, in her home.
Mrs. Gill was born in 1939, in Virginia, the daughter of the late John Wesley and Jessie Mae Goforth. She was the owner of Gills Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc.. Mrs. Gill was a member of the Winchester Moose Lodge #1283.
She married William “Bill” Gill on June 29, 1990, in Winchester, Virginia. Mr. Gill preceded her in death on January 16, 2003.
Surviving are two daughters, Lisa Joy Weaver and husband, Butch, Shirley Jean Freeze, son, William John Gill, all of Winchester; three grandchildren, Dalton Chester Weaver of Winchester, Jessica Taylor of Cross Junction, Kristina Marie Brown of Hood River, Oregon; five great grandchildren; sister, Patty Hatter of Leesburg, Virginia; and brother, John Goforth, Jr. of Orange, Virginia.
Two sisters, Marie Emma Lawhorn and Allene Privett preceded her in death.
