Jean E. DeHaven
Jean Elizabeth Braithwaite DeHaven, 80, of Frederick County, VA, died Friday, July 16, 2010, at her residence.
Mrs. DeHaven was born in 1929, in Winchester, VA, the daughter of Paul W. and Georgia D. Braithwaite. She attended Mary Washington College and had worked as a Bank Administrator with United Bank, until her retirement. She was an avid fan of the Washington Redskins and NASCAR’s Richard Petty.
Surviving are two daughters, Dianne Chelton, and her husband, Michael, of Franklin, PA and Ginger Cave, and her husband, Eddie, of Cross Junction, VA; four grandchildren, Sheri L. Stratigis, and her husband, George of Burtonsville, MD, Paul E. Cave and his significant other, Chau of Cross Junction, Lane Mangel, and her husband, Michael of Erie, PA, and Jaimee L. McCartney, of Franklin, PA; a sister, Betty Jo Stanton, and her husband, John of Fredericksburg, VA; a niece, Betsy Christianson and her husband, Jerry of Powhatan, VA; a nephew, Ben Gayle, of Fredericksburg, VA and four great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel. A private interment will be held at Mount Hebron Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Monday, July 19, 2010 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
