Jay was my best friend growing up. Robbie Gertz, my brother Jimmy, Jay and I were inseparable. With Stryker as our mascot we navigated the streets of South Central Darnestown like a pack of wolves. The Highlands of Darneston, Pond Ridge, and the teachers at Darnestown elementary would never be the same. The countless memories I had with Jay are forever engrained in my mind. Kind, funny, witty, the smartest one of the group, a friend that any friend would love to have. We were all so blessed for the times we had, I’ll never forget them, they bring a smile and a grin to my face every time I think about them. I love you Jay. My heart felt condolences go out to all the Palmers. Thoughts and Prayers are with you.

Dear Mrs Palmer, my heart is full of sympathy for you and your children and Barbara and your whole family. I am terribly saddened. We lived in the neighborhood and in those high school years Jay was often at our home in Darnestown having something to eat with the others and Elizabeth and Danielle. I have thought of him over the years and hoped he was enjoying life because he was a sweet brilliant and handsome young man. I pray you will know and feel the powerful healing embrace of Our Lord Jesus, now and forever.

I have known Jay since we were very young and the entire family and I have always been very fond of the Palmer family. Had many classes with Jay in high school and he was always one of the nicest and kindest guys around. He was liked everyone who knew him and I remember how much his friends and family meant to him. He will be truly missed. My condolences to one of the kindest and greatest families I have ever known in the Darnestown area. May God bless you now in Heaven and take care of your soul and family. Prayers ??
