Jay F. Brown

        Jay Franklin Brown, 55, of Winchester, Virginia, died Monday, April 22, 2013, in Winchester Medical Center.

 

Mr. Brown was born in 1957 in Winchester, Virginia, the son of the late Nathaniel F. and Dorothy R. Brown.   He was a graduate of Handley High School, Class of 1975, where he was a member of the Cross Country and Track Teams and continued Cross Country at Allegheny Junior College. He then graduated from James Madison University receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science.  He worked as a dry wall installer and supervisor for many years at Omega Drywall.  Mr. Brown was a member of Sunnyside Presbyterian Church in Frederick County, Virginia.

 

Surviving is his sister, Robin Brown Troxel of Radford, Virginia; two nieces, Elizabeth Troxel Watts and Emily Ann Troxel; one nephew, David James Troxel, and his special dog, Rose.

 

A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 AM, on Wednesday, at Sunnyside Presbyterian Church, with Reverend Marcia Jaureguizar officiating, Interment will be private.

 

Memorial contributions may be made to Sunnyside Presbyterian Church, 1270 North Frederick Pike, Winchester, Virginia,  22603.
